Steps to build the menu using resource editor

From main menu select ‘insert menu’ option.

 b) Select Resource option.

 c) A dialog box containing a list of different resource editors appears

 d) Select Menu option.

 e) Click on New Button.

 f) A menubar with a rectangular box on it get displayed. Double click on this box, a dialog box appears.

 g) Enter menuitem name (preceding with & for hot key) and menu ID value (101,102, etc ).

   In the similar way add all the menu items.

Before running the program, add the resource to the project. Follow the following steps:

 a) Select Project Menu option from the main menu.

 b) Select ‘Add to project’ menu option from the popup menu. A submenu appears.

 c) Select ‘Files’ from submenu. A dialog box containing file names appears.

 d) Select the ‘.rc’ file and press OK. This will include  ‘.rc’ file in the currently open project.
